Tom Thumb Deals 3/2/16
This weekend there is a 3 day sale (Fri, Sat, Sun).
Dr Pepper 12pk 2/$5 (Fri, Sat, Sun)
Little Debbie donuts $1.25 each (Fri, Sat, Sun)
Foster Farms corn dogs 29-42oz $5 (Fri, Sat, Sun)
-------------------------------------------------
90% ground beef $3.99/lb
Salmon $5.99/lb
Red Gold canned tomatoes 28oz $0.79 each when you buy 4
General Mills cereal $1.99 each when you buy 4
I picked up the Dr Pepper & donuts for camping this week. Corn dogs for lunches or when I'm at work and daddy cooks dinner. Canned tomatoes are always great to have in the pantry...salsa, spaghetti sauce, soups, etc. And cereal for breakfast. I had a $1.50 manufacturer coupon from before, so the cereal actually worked out to be $1.62 each. The ground beef will go in the freezer for later. And, salmon would be great for dinner with some asparagus that is only $1.27/lb at the neighborhood Walmart!

For some reason the catalina that printed for me for this transaction was $5. I went up to customer service and they corrected it for me. Just keep your eye out if you try to do this deal!

8/14 Tom Thumb $10.12
Ventured to Tom Thumb with all three boys today. Miraculously, they were all well behaved. :) I did two transactions for a total of $10.12
I'd list the match-ups but the ad ends tonight so it's kinda pointless. Maybe I'll be more on top of it next week. ; )

I ran out of time to post this the other day. Kind of pointless to list the items & coupons used since this sale was done Tuesday. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions. Thought I would post a pic since Kade looks so cute hoarding the chocolate chips sportin' his new buzz cut. : )

I'm not sure what is going on with the receipts lately, but I can never figure them out. From what I can tell, they missed a couple of my coupons/doubles, but made up for it with the mystery overage coupon on the cheerios.
Our freezer was empty as far as TV dinners go, so thought this would be a good opportunity to take advantage of the 30% frozen food coupon. Worked out better than I expected. I've been in a couponing rut lately, so it was nice to save a little more than I had hoped for once!

My total actually came to $41.06 because the Lean Cuisine store coupon didn't come off. Another stop at customer service and I got my change. In my opinion, it should have been FREE, but I didn't feel like argueing today... and we were in a hurry to bring my hubby lunch before Kade's naptime.

Price Right Guarantee
Tom Thumb & Kroger both have a right price guarantee. (Look for the sticker on the little check writing counter or near the register/screen at the self checkout). If an item rings up the wrong price, you will get a full refund for that item. If you buy more than one item, and they all ring up wrong, you will get the full price back for the first item and the corrected difference for the rest of the items. The key is... You must have completed the transaction & paid for it at the wrong price. Just take your receipt to customer service after you have checked out for your refund. (You are better off paying the wrong price initially if you are going to get it free!) ; ) In my experience, they generally try to just give you the price difference. Don't be afraid to speak up and ask about their price right guarantee!

Once again, I can't explain my receipt. They must have changed they way they keep track of coupons now because they no longer show up at the bottom. They are mixed into the receipt. Anyhow, I do know that we were overcharged for the oranges, which rang up $1.99lb instead of $1.79lb. I had to stop by customer service for a couple of rainchecks anyway and thanks to their price right guarantee we got the oranges FREE : )

I can't even begin to explain my receipt. I had all my coupons organized so there were no more that two .50 coupons in a row (at my store if I give more than 3 in a row, the 4th, 5th, etc won't double)... anyhow, one didn't scan so that cashier set it aside, then he scanned a couple more, then he'd set one aside, then he'd put one in his drawer, and pull it back out and set it down, then put it back, then pull it out again and scan it.... UGH! Thought I was going to stroke and I didn't have any energy left after watching it all to look at my receipt before I left like I normally do. I just didn't want to argue. BUT, now that I'm home, I think I actually got some overage out of the mess. And there were $4.50 of "J4U" coupons that came off when I have never signed up for them. Like I said, I can't explain it.
We were in need of some junk food :) so I'm glad this deal came along. My kids have been eating fairly healthy lately so I'm sure they'll be appreciative of all the sugar! Minus the meat, I spent $14.55 on all this...
Not too bad!
