Cinnamon Raisin Bread

*This is a bread machine recipe*

I stumbled upon this several weeks ago after a plethora of Pinterest clicks. The usual story, one click lead to another and I ended up eating about 4 loaves in a week...by myself! :) It is slightly sweet with a flaky crust. PERFECT for toasting! I added a bit more cinnamon, but have listed what the original recipe calls for below.

Ingredients:
1 C warm milk
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
3 C bread flour
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 Teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons butter
1 1/2 Teaspoons bread machine yeast
1 C raisins (or craisins, dried cherries, etc)

Directions:
In the bread machine pan, combine warm milk, brown sugar and egg. Add the flour, cinnamon, and salt on top of the liquids. Add the butter to the corners of the bread machine pan. In the center of the mix make a small well (an indentation in the flour) and add the yeast.

Select the basic bread cycle for a 1.5 lb loaf. If your bread machine offers a fruit setting, use this instead. Remember to add the raisins during the last 5 minutes of mixing. Many bread machines beep during this time to let you know to add additional ingredients.

Enjoy!
